Mother's have a different perspective on everything. While my dad believes that I should make mistakes so that I can learn from them, my mom is a different story altogether. If I make any mistake she won't let me hear the end of it. But that's a good method too. Let's face it, mistakes are the last thing we want to remember. So your mom nagging about it 24/7 is a good way to not repeat those mistakes.
No matter how busy they are, they always put our needs first (selfish aren't they?!?). They are irreplaceable. Many times we refer to our girl friends as sisters, but never as a mother. Because no matter how many times our friends have helped us it's nothing compared to what our mother does for us everyday.
So go ahead, hug your mom and thank her for everything. They expect nothing from us, even today (for those of you who live under a rock it's Mother's day today). This doesn't mean that you say thank you to her today only or that if you forgot to tell her today you can't tell it tomorrow (although you do deserve a kick on your royal behind for forgetting). Appreciating your mom doesn't need a day or time, you can do it any time and the smile you get in return will make you forget all your worries.
